There is a product recall on Hartman Pacific's Gorilla EL12/21-I Extension Ladder. There is a possibility of a fall injury occurring if the ladders fail while loaded with more than 120kg.

What are the defects?
The ladder does not perform to 150kg load capacity as claimed on the packaging and on the load rating label. Consumers may mistakenly rely on the claimed load rating to assess whether it is safe for them to use. Recent testing has confirmed that the ladder should have a load rating of 120kg.
What are the hazards?
There is a possibility of a fall injury occurring if the ladders fail while loaded with more than 120kg.

What should consumers do?
Consumers must not use the ladder for loads of more than 120kg. Consumers should contact Hartman Pacific in order to arrange for a new rating label and load rating stickers for their existing ladder, or call Customer Service on 1300 362 393 to arrange for a replacement product or refund if you believe that you will use the ladder with loads greater than 120kg.
