MPower's LED Recessed Emergency Light - Nikko Pancake, LifeGuard 1 & LifeGuard 2 have been recalled by the ACCC due to a manufacturing fault where a small number of products have untrimmed input power terminals located at the underside of the control box.

What are the defects?

There exists a manufacturing fault where a small number of products have untrimmed input power terminals located at the underside of the control box. The untrimmed terminals could potentially extend to, or close to, the surface of the underside of the control box, where a small ventilation cavity exists.

What are the hazards?

Contact with these exposed input terminals, whilst the product is connected to power, could cause electric shock.

Distributors and contractors should carefully inspect all installed or stocked products. Any products affected by the manufacturing fault should return them to MPower for an exchange with a replacement product.
