There is a product recall on Trinidad Ceiling Fan with LED Lighting. When the diffuser (lamp cover) is removed from the fan access to live parts is possible if the ceiling fan light is turned on.

What should consumers do?
DO NOT REMOVE the lamp cover. There is no need to remove the fan from ceiling. Consumers should register their product with the Mercator warranty department who will arrange for the installation of a safety cover by a qualified electrician at no cost to the consumer.
