I have installed some LED lights on a 2 wire sensor When the sensor is off the lights glow and flicker. What am I doing wrong?

Answer:
With traditional light sources this is not an issue as the current that is passed through the lamp is so low that the user cannot see any diffference. LED's and CFL's are designed to be much more energy efficient and this bleed current is enough for them to glow or flicker.
There are a number of possible solutions:
1. Change to 3 wire (this is often not practical but will solve the issue).
2. Change the lamp (with changes in the energy effency standards (MEPS) this is becoming more difficult.
3. Add a dummy load across the load. This adds a second impedance path for current to flow - giving the 2 wire device enough current to operate while keeping the current in the lamp low enough to keep it off. Consult with the manufacture of the 2 wire device to determine the value of load required.
4. Replace the 2 wire device with one that is specifically designed for LED and CFL loads. These products have been designed with much lower bleed currents specifically to address this issue.
