Studies have shown that by displaying rates of energy consumption, users are more likely to change their routines which can lead to energy savings of 10% - 15%. Legrand SCS control systems, which include visualisation and load management products, can show how much gas and electricity a residence is using. The energy and hot water output received from solar panels can also be viewed.
Visualisation products - energy usage data is displayed on a Legrand Arteor Colour Touch Screen. The energy data collection devices can be integrated directly on the BUS of the automation/temperature control system or can be part of a dedicated system.
- BUS meter with three inputs for toroids measures up to three separate circuits by connecting up to three toroids to the appropriate inputs. This data is then displayed on the Arteor Colour Touch Screen.
- Pulse counter interface: detects, counts and processes the information received from meters with pulse outputs. This data can then be viewed on an Arteor Colour Touch Screen.
With visualisation products, the data can be displayed in current or dollar value of the usage on an hourly, weekly, monthly or yearly basis. Actual live results can also be viewed.
Load management products manage power usage by automatically disconnecting appliances when a pre-determined electrical consumption level is reached. These products are suitable for installation inside distribution boards and switchboards and require the space of 1 DIN module.
- Central unit for load management - measures the input power from the electrical system. The unit manages up to 63 appliances or electric loads for each phase, measures currents and voltages, and processes the data to provide energy and power information.
- Actuator 16A with current sensor - has an integrated current sensor for the measurement of controlled load consumptions and is capable of performing both energy management and automation functions. The actuator turns off devices based on usage or control.
- Actuator16A - capable of performing both energy management and automation functions.
