Solving the Problem of Extreme Low Temperature Industrial Lighting

Published: 3 March 2014 Category: Manufacturer News
For decades lighting installations for cold storage and extreme industrial environments has presented a range of problems in terms of operability and reliability. Using traditional HID or Fluorescent light sources has never performed well in refrigerated applications. They consume too much energy, generate too much heat and cost too much to maintain.

For this reason EYE Lighting extended its portfolio of extreme environment solutions specifically for extreme low temperatures down to -60°C.
Solving the Problem of Extreme Low Temperature Industrial Lighting
For each application there is an optimised LED solution working as efficiently as possible within a defined temperature range. All luminaires are selected for their advantages of reducing energy consumption, thermal performance, reduced heat contribution, reduced maintenance and uniform glare free light distribution.

With a body/lens made from co-extruded polycarbonate and methacrylate the luminaires are ideal to be used in all types of agri-food industries.

Application Types:

General Lighting:
  • LED Luminaires for general lighting in cold rooms:
  • Bigger than 20m2
  • Up to 7m high
Task Lighting:
  • Compact LED luminaires for:
  • General lighting in cold rooms up to 20m2
  • Freezing tunnel lighting
  • Additional task lighting
