KNX is a home and building automation system that is widely used in Europe and other parts of the world.
KNX is an open protocol home and building automation system that is controlled by the KNX Association is Brussells and is independent of all manufacturers. The system has been successfully used for more than 20 years across the world in applications from domestic homes to large airports and 5 star hotels. The system is easily scaleable from a simple small system to a large sytemm controlling more than 15,000 items including lighting controls, shutters and blinds, HVAC, security and more. Being an open protocol system means installers currently have a choice betweeen more than 240 different manufacturers producing KNX products that are 100% compatible with each other.
KNX is the world's only standard for home and building control covered by an IEC standard.
