Crompton ensure  only  quality  components  and materials  are used  to guarantee longevity  of  product life and actual luminaire performance. To assist customers in the selection of a wide range of alternative drivers available in the market,  we recommend the following steps. Step 1: Identify the operating current of the LED module or luminaire being used.This information  will be provided by the manaufacturer. Step 2: Identify the wattage of the LED module or luminaire, which should be clearly stated on  the product. Step 3: Identify if the application requires a dimmable, or fixed output driver (converter).  If a dimmable driver is needed, what method of dimming is required? For example, there are various methods of dimming utilizing different dimming technologies, such  as DALI, DSI, or as is more commonly found in residential and small commercial applications,  switch type dimmers. Step  4:  Make  sure  the  current  and  the  wattage  range  of  the  driver  matches  the  current  and  wattage  range  of  the  luminaire  as  provided  by  the  supplier  of  the  fixture  or  in  the  product  information (such as rating label etc). Step 5: Ensure that the driver suits the application i.e dimmable or fixed output. For example, if a  dimmable driver is required, it must be checked that the driver can be dimmed by the avilable  control system, or dimming method, as outlined above.
