The Mineproof LED is designed to specification by EYE Lighting for a durable solution in the harsh and adverse lighting applications of the mining industry. Constructed from 316L stainless steel with a borosilicate glass lens, the LED version is ideal for conveyors and conveyor walkways as it can be wall or pole mounted.
The quality construction including a robust heat sink allows the Mineproof LED to be used in 40°C ambient temperatures whilst maintaining the desired illumination level. Stainless steel will withstand the rigours of mine life while the tough borosilicate glass lens was specified for UV resistance and all round corrosion resistant properties.
A typical installation has the Mineproof LED mounted at a 2.4m height with 9m spacing centres which provides an average illumination of 40lux along the walkway.
