According to The Advertiser, Adelaide electrical engineering company Consolidated Power Projects Australia and Clare-based firm OTM Civil have also been awarded contracts. Clean Energy Council Policy Manager Alicia Webb said with all the ups and downs in the wind industry over the last few years, it is great to see the second stage of the Waterloo Wind Farm really getting down to business. “Most major renewable energy projects are located in regional parts of Australia, which means jobs and investment opportunities for communities that really need it,” Ms Webb said. “Keppel Prince Engineering was doing it tough last year, and Vestas should be congratulated for partnering with a company based in regional Victoria to manufacture wind turbine towers using Australian steel.”   An estimated $2.3 million will flow into the mid-north region of South Australia as a result of the expansion project
